Looking for the best diving in Malaysia? Our Semporna diving package is designed for certified divers who want to explore the legendary Celebes Sea without the hassle. We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the bubbles. From the world-famous barracuda vortex of Sipadan to the macro wonders of Mabul, our packages cover the diverse marine ecosystems that make this region a top bucket-list destination.

We organize daily boat trips with small group ratios, guided by local experts who know exactly where to find the marine life.

Daily Island Routes

Customize your Semporna diving package by choosing from our daily scheduled routes. Each route visits 2-3 different islands to give you the widest variety of dive sites.

  • Sipadan Diving Special: The ultimate experience. Includes 2 dives at Sipadan Island + 1 dive at Mabul Island. *Permit required.*
  • Mabul Diving + Kapalai Diving: The classic macro lover’s route. Artificial reefs, giant green turtles, and world-class muck diving.
  • Mataking Diving + Timba-timba: A perfect mix of deep wall diving for pelagics at Mataking and stunning coral gardens at Timba-timba.
  • Mataking + Pandanan: Explore the steep walls of Mataking followed by the pristine reefs of Pandanan island.
  • Pom-pom Island Diving + Pandanan: A relaxing route featuring turtle conservation sites and beautiful hard corals.
  • Tun Sakaran Marine Park: A 3-island tour (Sibuan + Mantabuan + Bohey Dulang). Famous for drift dives and incredibly clear water.
  • Si Amil + Denawan: The hidden gems. Explore remote reefs and World War II wrecks away from the crowds.
  • Tabawan + Adal: An adventure to the far south. Untouched reefs and vibrant marine life for the adventurous diver.

Daily Itinerary

Boat Departure

Meet at TDB Semporna Jetty for briefing and gear check.

Morning Dives (2)

Two boat dives at your designated island route. Surface interval with refreshments.

Lunch & Dive

Lunch break on the boat or island jetty. 3rd dive in the afternoon. Return to Semporna by 4:00 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Sipadan permits are strictly limited by the park authorities. We recommend booking your Sipadan diving package at least 3-6 months in advance. Permits are allocated by the resort/operator and are not guaranteed for last-minute bookings.

Yes, Enriched Air Nitrox is available for certified Nitrox divers. It is highly recommended for Mabul diving and Kapalai diving where we often do multiple repetitive dives in a day, allowing you to extend your bottom time.

For safety, if you haven’t dived in over 12 months, we require you to complete a *Refresher Course* (Scuba Review). This can be done on your first morning—we will review equipment assembly and basic skills in shallow water before taking you on the boat.

Our packages generally include tanks, weights, and a dive guide. Full equipment rental (BCD, Regulator, Wetsuit, Mask, Fins) is available for a small daily fee.

No, the islands are in different directions. Mataking diving and Pompom island diving are usually grouped together in the north, while Sipadan, Mabul, and Kapalai are grouped in the south. We rotate our boat schedule daily to cover different zones.
