Course Overview
Are you looking to take the first step in your diving career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you will fine-tune your dive skills, improve your rescue techniques, and gain the leadership abilities to mentor other divers. As a PADI Divemaster, you lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. It is a serious commitment, but it is also a lifestyle change that opens doors to working in dive resorts around the world.

The Divemaster course is divided into three sections: Knowledge Development, Water Skills Development, and Practical Application. You will learn:
Course Prerequisites
- 1PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)

Minimum age: 18 years old

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR/First Aid) training within 24 months

40 logged dives to begin the course; 60 logged dives for certification

Medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months

Pass the Divemaster Final Exam (Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Skills, Environment)
Water Skills Exercises
400m Swim, 800m Snorkel Swim, 15-minute Tread Water, 100m Tired Diver Tow
Diver Rescue Assessment (Perform a rescue of an unresponsive diver)
Skill Circuit: Demonstrate 24 dive skills to instructor quality
Goal: Work with real students and manage real logistics.
Workshops & Scenarios
Setup and manage a dive site
Conduct a dive briefing
Guide certified divers on a tour (simulated or actual)
Assisting Instructors
Assist an Instructor with Open Water and Continuing Education students in both confined and open water.
