Yes. While Sipadan has many turtles, Pom Pom is a critical Turtle Nesting Site. It is one of the few islands in Semporna with active turtle hatcheries. During the nesting season (May–August), divers often encounter large female Green Turtles resting in the shallows during the day before they go ashore to lay eggs at night.
